Amy moved around a bit while growing up, but considers Kansas City her home. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and began working in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Children’s Mercy Hospital soon after graduation. In 2008, she graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with her Masters of Science in Nursing degree. At around this time, she moved to Oklahoma City and began working as a Nurse Practitioner in a pediatric community health center.
Amy is married and has two little boys named Andrew and Ethan. They keep her busy, but in her spare time she enjoys running, playing outside with her boys, spending time with family and friends, and teaching herself how to sew...unsuccessfully!
