Kristen grew up as an "Army Brat", living all over the country and in Japan. She followed high school friends to Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, where she earned her BS degree in biology. Kristen received her medical degree from the University of Missouri in Columbia. She got married the week after graduation and the honeymoon ended shortly with the beginning of internship and residency. She completed her pediatric residency at Blank Children's Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. During her final year of residency, she had her first child. She moved to the Kansas City area because her husband wanted to join his family's greenhouse business, where he continues to work. They now have two beautiful school-aged children who keep them busy with activities. After work at the office, Dr. Stuppy "works" as the family taxi driver and housekeeper/cook, proofreader of homework, and is a big fan at the kid's games and events.
Dr. Stuppy feels privileged to be able to help families keep their children healthy and she loves watching entire families grow!
