Our Front Office Team

We accept most major insurance plans and over 200 other plans.  Call your insurance provider to see if Pediatric Partners is on your plan.

Note:  New physicians may not be in insurance directories for a time, so checking with an established physician's name in our group (such as Dr. Michael Blum) may be the best way to determine if our office is on a plan.  We all accept the same insurance plans.

  • Payment Responsibility / Billing Our office has recently had an increase in the number of calls questioning bills.  This is in large part due to the fact that many insurance companies are putting more financial responsibility on their policy holders and covering less medical costs, which in this difficult economic time is placing financial stress on families.  Please read this post to learn about our office responsibilities, your insurance responsibilities, and your family's responsibilities.
  • Understanding Your Insurance Plan This post discusses various types of insurance plans available and some tips to understand your plan.
  • Autism Screening and Insurance Coverage It is recommended that all children are screened for autism at 18 months and again at 24 months.  Unfortunately, some insurance companies allow the code for this service, which means they believe it is a valid charge that a physician can bill, but they put it in the "patient responsibility" category.  This means the parent receives the bill for this important service.  Please read this post to understand why we must perform this test, code for it, and what you can do if your insurance company doesn't pay for it.
