| What if I do not want the standard vaccine schedule? | |

At Pediatric Partners, P.A. our main concern is the health of your child. We strongly believe that immunizations play an important role in maintaining your child’s health from infancy to adulthood. We recognize that there is much anti-vaccine rhetoric in the press today that has heightened parents concerns regarding immunizations. However, there is no scientific link between vaccines and autism. Thus, we feel it necessary to take a firm stand on the vaccine policies in our practice. If you do not plan on having your infant vaccinated according to one of our schedules, or not at all, then we respectfully ask you to find a physician who is willing to take this risk with you. Make no mistake: Many of the diseases prevented by vaccination have serious consequences, including disfigurement and death. The As a courtesy to our parents, we will recognize and allow an “alternate” vaccine schedule. Please be advised this is your choice, NOT our recommendation. We do not apologize for any increased cost or inconvenience to you for choosing the alternate schedule which may also result in increased co-pays and may increase the number of visits to our office. Please check with your insurance company as many will not pay for the increase in office visits. If you select the alternate vaccine schedule, you will be required to sign a waiver which states that you recognize and accept any and all responsibility for the risk to your child, or to other children your child may expose if they contract a vaccine preventable disease and that your child must have all immunizations completed by 18 to 23 months of age. Pediatric Partners charges an administrative fee of $125.00 for placing your child on the alternative vaccine schedule. This fee covers co-pays at the additional vaccine nurse visits, but does not cover other charges associated with this visit. Those charges will be your responsibility according to your contract with your insurance company. This fee does not cover co-pays at regular well visits. This fee must be paid prior to initiation of this alternate schedule and is non-refundable. It is not submitted to your insurance company. We reserve the right to dismiss any family from our practice who is not completing vaccines in good faith on the schedules we recognize. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask, but do not negotiate with us regarding your child’s health and future well being. Our position is firm.
