Janette L. Yardley, PA-C

Janette grew up in St. Joseph, Missouri.  She graduated from Missouri Western State University in 1999 with a Bachelor’s in biology.  She was always drawn to a career in the sciences, particularly healthcare.  After some years of soul-searching, Janette rediscovered the profession of physician assistants.  In 2006, she went on to complete the Child Health Associate/Physician Assistant program located in Denver, Colorado.  She then practiced pediatric medicine in rural northeastern Wyoming for two years.  More recently, she and her husband returned to the Kansas City area to be closer to family.  While they can’t boast of any children of their own yet, they do “parent” two cats, Duncan and Bailey.  Janette enjoys traveling, good food, game night with friends or family, biking, hiking, amateur photography, and the occasional reality TV show (Amazing Race, anyone?).

Janette maintains national Physician Assistant certification from the NCCPA.  As part of maintaining her national certification and keeping abreast of the latest medical information, Janette participates in various continuing medical education opportunities annually.  Along with her colleagues, Janette aims to provide her patients and their families with high quality, compassionate care.  She is enthusiastic about educating patients and parents on a variety of health issues, including vaccine-preventable diseases, asthma and allergies, overweight and obesity risks, antibiotic resistance, and many others.  She looks forward to helping children grow and develop successfully!
